"Ultimate fighting to the extreme!"
"You win, you live. You loose, you die."
"Two muscled fighters are locked into a steel Cage to fight without
rules and without mercy. A howling mob watches as one man is killed.
Across town, gangsters try to convince Billy (Lou Ferrigno) to become
their Cage fighter. Billy, who suffered brain damage in Vietnam, always
relies on his friend Scott (Reb Brown) to help him make decisions, says
he will only do it if Scott lets him. The gangsters have Scott's bar fire-bombed,
abduct Billy and trick him into fighting. As Scott begins blasting his
way through the underworld to find his friend, Billy is on his own in the
Cage.
Every one of the Cage fights is brutal and barbaric. Each combatant
looks only to destroy his opponent with a combination of kick-boxing and
all the other hand-to-hand martial arts.
By the end, Billy has brawled his way through the most murderous fighters
in the savage sport, yet there are still two more battles to be fought
... Scott takes Billy's place for one last Cage fight, and then they both
attack the gangland leaders who tried to ruin their lives. And once again,
Its is a fight to the death." (From the video cover)

"Unfortunately they took full advantage of Lou's disability. What's
worse is he allowed it." A viewer from Chicago
"I think that Lou Ferigno is the smartest man alive. I think that
he is GOD" Lou #!
"This is a great film about friendship. Lou Ferrigno couldn't be
better. Reb Brown makes the movie. The scene where he cuts loose with the
shotgun in the bar is fantastic and a must see for Reb Brown fans."

Hardcore Ferrigno fans and people who love bad action movies
Comments
"If you can get past some of the ridiculous ethnic stereotypes
in CAGE you may have fun watching it, because it's one of those movies
that's so bad it's good -full of ridiculous dialog, outlandish situations,
and laughably wretched acting. Though CAGE's many moments of unintentional
humor make it very entertaining at times, serious fans of the action genre
will be bored and possibly even offended by this lame entry." Movie
Database
"We suppose this was meant to be taken seriously, but audiences
didn't get the hint; Cage has been greeted with raucous, derisive laughter
ever since its 1990 release." Hal Erickson, All-Movie Guide
"Pointless, violent film provides viewers with the human equivalent
of a cockfight as Ferrigno and Brown go at it in the Asian 'sport' of cage
fighting. A better title might have been THE INCREDIBLE HOKUM." Leonard
Maltin's Movie & Video Guide
"I dont care what critics say, Cage kicked ass. Lou Ferrigno kicks
ass."
"If someone says he likes the movie, I'd wonder why, given its
cruelty, its pandering, its pedestrian technique, its ethnic stereotyping
and its tastelessness (Lou Ferrigno plays a brain-damaged muscleman-child.)
The only possible justification I can imagine for this movie is to drool
at the sight of blood-soaked beefcake." vjmorton
"Great movie, full action. Lou was very good in this character."
